LoL: A buff for Master Yi… starting tomorrow

After having raised his winrate (considerably) at the start of the patch, Master Yi finally saw his success drastically drop in League of Legends – from 55.7% to 48.4% at all ranks – confirming in passing that the changes made by Riot Games were indeed nerves. But apparently, said changes seem too big. The proof is that the Fine Blade Wuju will be buffed via the micro patch 12.5B which arrives tomorrow.

A little update before the break

Normally, we should have waited until March 30 to have adjustments on the live servers, but Riot Games decided otherwise. Before taking its break, the studio announced the deployment of a 12.5B patch, which will arrive overnight.

Are concerned almost only champions and an object, the Medallion of Iron Solari. On the side of the buffs we find; Master Yi, Varus, Draven, Ashe and Lucian, and on the nerf side are concerned Ryze, Zeri, Jinx and Aphelios.

So it would seem that Riot Games wants to balance the class of ADCs. While some changes seem legitimate, such as the nerfs for Jinx, currently the most played champion in the Rift, or even Zeri, who still annoys so much, or even the buffs for Draven (overall win rate: 47.7%), Varus (overall win rate: 47.8%) or Lucian (overall win rate: 48.7%), one wonders why Riot wants to push Aphelios. The champion literally skates in the semolina with an appalling victory rate of 45.7% all ranks combined (and it doesn’t do better at high ELO).

It now remains to know the exact content of these modifications which should be unveiled this evening around 8 p.m.

Difficult to cache, lifesteal and the mechanics associated with it are one of the most problematic issues in League of Legends. Faced with the frustration caused by this element of gameplay, Riot seems helpless. And yet, there are solutions — one of which seems like a genius idea.
