LoL: A first Arcade skin for Bel’Veth, the Void Empress

Riot Games continues with its announcements around Bel’Veth, its 160th League of Legends champion. After revealing its full spell kit, the studio unveiled the skin that will accompany its release in patch 12.11. The Void Empress gets a theme that suits her like a glove, Arcade, and more specifically, that of battle bosses !

One theme but two families

It should be remembered that the Arcade theme has two subgroups: that of Heroes and that of Battle Bosses. Given its representation in the lore but above all its ambition to destroy Runeterra, in other words the theme suits it perfectly. What could be better than a manta ray thirsty for destruction as a final boss?

On the splashart, we can see three champions fighting against the terrible Empress of the Void: Ezreal, Riven and Sona arcade. The illustration uses many codes such as the characters’ life bars, including an insane one for Bel’Veth (a Dark Souls boss?).

So, we want to think that Riot Games may be preparing us for a surprise for the release of the new champion. Why not a PvE mode, like for the release of Odyssey skins with Extraction. In this mode, you deviate from the rescue of Ziggs victim of a crash on an alien planet. You found yourself in an arena facing waves of monsters that you had to overcome to reach the final boss, who was none other than Kayn Odyssey.

We know that hope is slim, it’s been a long time since Riot Games gave us a PvE mode, but we can dream a little. Bel’Veth is highly anticipated by the community and the studio has planned an event for its release. Yes, missions and others on the client and a battle pass, but here we still hope for a surprise.

After weeks of expectations, speculations and theory of all kinds, Riot Games has finally formalized the fate of Bel’Veth, the terrifying Empress of nothingness who will be the 160th League of Legends champion.
