Every year, it’s the same thing, Riot Games gratifies us with plethora of announcements as the new season launches, and 2022 will be no exception. Presentation of Zeri, upcoming champions or skins and themes, there will be something to eat for this season 12 of League of Legends.
All the big preseason changes
Before we dive into the ads – and if you’ve been living in a cave for almost two months – we advise you to take a quick tour of the novelties before embarking on the summoner’s fault. Two new dragons have appeared, the Hextech and the Techno-chemical, but also new objects, new runes and of course some balances are also in the game. Finally, let’s not forget the bonuses, which are intended to promote the return to favor of lagging teams.
Zeri, the spark of Zaun
Leak a few days in advance, the new champion, the 158th to be more precise, has finally officially shown the tip of her nose. This electrifying new ADC will arrive in the rift with patch 12.2. You can now check her spells and judge whether or not she looks totally broken.
The next three champions
What would a start to the season be without a first road map for the champions? After Zeri, who was just revealed, two more champions will be added to the Rift: an Enchanter – which should take on the role of support but about which we know practically nothing for the moment – and a jungler who obviously hails from the Void.
Udyr’s overhaul
As much to tell you, we will have to wait a few more months before being able to discover the brand new Guardian of the Spirits – nevertheless, the work is progressing and Riot Games has given us new insights into the champion and some interesting information on his future gameplay and more particularly on his 4 postures.
Skins and themes
In 2022, there will be heavy, very heavy. Plethora of skins are on the program, but not only. Ahri will receive a visual overhaul, and Forgotten Champions will finally get a new look. But not only. Old themes will return to the forefront such as Star Guardians or the West and a new vote will be offered to the community to choose the next set of skins to arrive in the rift.
Another surprise, the resumption of the Riven Skin Fighting Rabbit. This solitary skin will now belong to a new family, Anima SQUAD.
Challenges
Riot Games had already mentioned the appearance of the challenges on League of Legends last August. After a short introduction, the studio has therefore decided to detail this new system which will arrive on the client in the coming months. The goal here is to provide a means for players to express themselves and display their successes in the game..
Fantastic content update
Fans of fantastic, rare and exclusive content, things are moving in League of Legends in 2022. Make way for a single currency, the return of old prestige skins, fantastic new thematic skins and much more, there will be movement.
