LoL: An upcoming change in an upcoming Riot unveiled in a Reddit post

The League of Legends community has a very good relationship with the developers. Although there are sometimes tensions and disagreements between them, the truth is that on many occasions, players help make small changes that increase the overall quality of the game. This is the case of one of the next adjustments to be made to the video game. A small change that affects Galio’s passive and whose introduction we owe to a Reddit post that criticized the interaction of his passive with the support object.

A small change that says a lot about League of Legends

The player in question commented that when Galio attempts to execute a minion using his supporting object, the item could activate on a minion affected by the champion’s passive instead of the main target. This situation was quite embarrassing because it reduced the total number of gold that theteam could win. In any scenario, it is more interesting to execute the siege minion, which brings more gold in total. However, Riot Games did not consider this approach and prioritized ADCs to lose as few minions as possible.

Galio’s passive made him a very clumsy support

“It’s a good idea. We talked about it and decided that you were right and it’s something we need to change. We hope the modification will be ready in the next patches”said a Riot Games employee in the Reddit post.

A statement that surprised the community and to which he responded again by assuring that “This kind of thing (accepting changes suggested by the community) happens a lot more often than you might think, although I think we could do better to communicate when it happens.” This does not guarantee that other suggestions will be implemented, but many of them will have a chance of at least being considered by the developer.

Recently, the studio also thought about improving the mana regeneration offered by the fountain thanks to a player’s suggestion, but ultimately decided not to include it in the game. Riot Games is constantly listening to the community and, for example, the major changes to the effective damage of champions in the next patch are partly driven by complaints from the past few years.

Over the years, the members of Riot Games have become masters in the art of teasing. Only, many things are teased about League of Legends, and it is good to provide clarifications at times. That’s what Reav3 did about Bel’Veth.
