LoL: Aurelion Sol rework postponed to 2023

Aurelion Sol is one of the least appreciated characters by the LoL community in terms of gameplay. By the very admission of Riot Games, the Champion suffers from a lack of efficiency compared to its mid lane counterparts. It has already gone through several balancing phases, which had made it more or less strong during its existence, since its release in 2016.

Between the changes that the items have undergone and the modifications on its own gameplay, Aurelion Sol experienced a slow descent into hell before failing in the bottom of all the tier lists, with a historically low pick rate. Faced with this situation, Riot Games had decided to react and announce that the dragon was going to get a total overhaul of its gameplay.

We had received some images of the new spells through a video regarding League of Legends news. The redesign was announced for the end of 2022, right in the pre-season, but things have changed. The LoL teams have decided that the rework will join the servers at the start of season 13, i.e. at the start of 2023. The developers justify this choice by the desire to adjust the character’s new kit as much as possible in order to integrate it perfectly into the state. current Summoner’s Rift.

Since all of his spells will change, the character will benefit from new visual effects. We know very little about the nature of this new gameplay, but two spells stand out. The first is a laser that seems to connect Aurelion Sol and its target within a certain range and something close to a black hole that spreads a wide area around itself.
