LoL: caPs (re)changes pseudonym!

On League of Legends, we know the pseudonym of the players better than their true identity. If we tell you Zdravets Iliev Galabov, Ryu Min-seok and Chen Wei, do you have the references? They are Hyllisang, Keria and GALA, congratulations to those who had all the answers.

The choice of pseudonym is therefore eminently important, it is with this one that we mark history and enter the legend. It may therefore seem trivial, but the midlaner of G2, caps, decided to change his pseudonym again. He definitely doesn’t hold up, given that he had already done it last year. On a misunderstanding, it will become a habit…

A return to normal rather than a change

This new change of pseudonym is above all a return to normal. The Dane took over the spelling Capsafter using for one year”caps“. It may be a detail for you, but if the player had done it, it surely meant a minimum for him.

Caps is the spelling he used throughout his early career. With him, he notably won 6 times the LEC and 1 MSI. The “caPs” period only lasted a year, but it was still relatively prolific with a new title of European champion. For the story, it would have been more fun if he had opted for “cAps” or “caPs” instead, just to make the letter really capitalized.

Motivations still mysterious

It’s still unclear why Caps used “caPs” for one season. The question was asked several times during the FAQs and we also tried our luck during a 1:1 interview as part of the LEC. But the Dane never really wanted to give a precise answer. He could do it, so he did. Many theories have flourished on the networks, but to this day we still have no answer. The return to normal is also unexplained.

We can assume that Caps is a bit superstitious. Before changing to caPs, he had had a very complicated 2021 season. While the end of the 2022 season did not live up to expectations (loss in the LEC final, 1-5 at the Worlds), perhaps he needed to change again to regain his good karma… We promise, we’ll try to pull the worms out of him soon. We risk breaking our teeth, but whoever tries nothing, has nothing!

esport-lol

A new drama appeared on League of Legends with a feeling of deja vu… the ADC Upset was still at the heart of the debates with the profile of the ideal culprit. But looks can be deceiving, and the community as a whole hasn’t handled the situation very well.
