LoL: Chase a Nunu? Nisqy and Trayton’s Fatal Mistake

In League of Legends, there are several golden rules known to everyone. They are not written anywhere, but you learn them as you play and gain experience. Among them, we can mention the fact of never chasing a Singed in his toxic cloud, the prohibition to play Teemo top to preserve his soul or the obligation to buy a QSS against a Malzahar. But SInged is not the only champion to avoid racing… Nisqy is still on the Fnatic bench and while waiting to formalize his next destination, he continues to entertain us during his stream sessions. The Belgian put on a show and once again gave us a great esports moment: his infinity chase on a Nunu faster than Usain Bolt. You probably guessed it, that must have gone wrong otherwise we won’t have told you about it!

In addition to having the POV of Nisqywe also have as a bonus the reaction of Trayton, who was on vocals with the midlaner. But don’t worry bros, mistakes happen even to the best!

Nunu, between the sprint and the marathon!

Based on looks alone, Nunu is a bit clumsy. But in reality, the champion is very mobile. Whether it’s with his passive which gives him a bonus in movement speed or with his famous snowball that he rolls, the character has a very good burst of speed. But that’s not the only trick up its sleeve. Nunu is a tanky champion who is able to absorb a fair amount of damage. When we add his ability to regenerate, we get a fighter as tough as a marathon runner.

Nisqy and Trayton were able to measure the power of Nunu at their expense. They started chasing him not far from the drake (lower part of the map) before chasing him to the top lane. And despite the attacks and numerous crowd controls suffered (Karma’s root, Shen’s taunt, Trundle’s column of ice…), the Yeti held on. Hit but not sunk, he managed to survive and frustrate his enemies… Who ran after him for nothing. Worse still, by dint of tunnel vision, Nisqy and his teammates were picked off like bruises by a little too pissed off Irelia. It might be a bit mean, but while this kind of situation happens very often in our games, it’s a relief to see that the pros also find themselves in the sauce! We don’t have the same Ratingbut we have the same problems.

Does Nunu deserve a nerf though?

Nisqy may say he is “a shitty champion”, Nunu seems far from being OP. With only 4.2% popularity and especially 48.5% winrate, his modest statistics speak for him. Even if its gameplay can be really frustrating (mobility, ultimate hidden in a bush, ability to steal neutral objectives…), it is still rather limited. Whether yesterday, today or tomorrow, Nunu will remain a rather average champion, who is often recommended to beginner junglers.

What distorts the focus a bit is that Nunu is a champion highly valued by some OTPs, especially in Europe. These OTPs (One-Trick Pony) master the character to perfection and it is sometimes this mastery that poses a problem. However, this is not enough to require a nerve and the big Yeti should be able to continue to frolic in complete safety.

A few days ago, League of Legends Champion Aurelion Sol was labeled Riot Games’ biggest failure. The words are harsh and we are sure that the little heart of the Celestial Dragon has been touched. Fortunately for him, some pro players have brought the character to life.
