LoL: Considered still too powerful, Zeri takes a nerve on the PBE

Zeri is definitely not in the odor of holiness on the side of the developers of Riot Games – or even of the players. The studio has indeed announced nerfs to come on the champion who has already received them during the League of Legends 12.3 and 12.5 patches. Obviously, they do not seem sufficient and the ionic spark will still see its statistics revised downwards.

3 nerfs in 5 patches

Since arriving in Summoner’s Rift, Zeri has drawn a lot of criticism. Unbearable to face for many, it currently displays a ban rate by 34.2% at all ranks to a staggering figure of over 55.9% at Platinum ranks and above (and even 67.1% at Masters and above). Like what, even at the highest level, players do not want to see it. His win rate is 50% at all ranks, but gradually increases the higher the level.

Riot Games has therefore decided to nerf the champion for the third time since its release last January.

Riot’s overall goal with these changes, as stated by developer August “august“Browning, is of “reduce its overall damage and mobility [et] move the damage out of the base AD to decrease its power”.

In terms of his base stats, the studio therefore decided to make it less resistant by drastically reducing his armor and adjusting his overall HP. If the base damage of his Q has been increased, it is at the (heavy) cost of his damage charged to block according to the maximum HP of the target which has been considerably reduced. The loss of AD at the start of the game should also make farming more difficult.

The cooldown of her E is increased to 23 seconds, to make her less mobile, especially at the end of the game. and prevent him from constantly rushing into teamfights. Also in an effort to reduce his mobility, his ultimate’s bonus movement speed per stack is reduced, but you’ll gain more stacks per champion hit by the AoE explosion.

Details of changes

Basic statistics

Base AD decreased: 58 → 50

Base HP adjusted: 50 + 85 per level → 480 + 90 per level

Armor decreased: 23 + 3.5 per level → 20 + 3 per level

Q – Burst

Damage increased: 9-25 → 10-30

Damage fully charged according to the target’s max HP reduced: 3-15% up to level 18 → 1-10% up to level 13

E – Ionic Charge

Cooldown increased: 23-19 → 23 seconds

Damage decreased: 80-100% → 60-100%

R – Electric Rash

Movement speed bonus per cumulative effect decreased: 2% → 1.5-2%

Effects per champion hit by the explosion of the damage zone decreased: 3 → 4

Many players believe thatit is extremely frustrating to face Zeri in the lane phase — in particular because of its hit and run mechanics which allow it to remain very safe. These changes should therefore make her “a little less hateful” for many.

Note that you will have to be patient, patch 12.6 is not expected before the end of March, the 30th exactly, and nothing says that the studio will not change its mind by then.

Thanks to the Tech-Chemical Dragon, the Proud Stalker was supposed to become a monster of the current meta — but things have turned sour, to the point where Rengar seems almost unplayable. Fortunately, Riot Games has heard the complaints of the League of Legends community…
