LoL: EUM Summer 2022, the French already qualified

The LFL is not over, but we can project ourselves on the next EUM. Several teams have already validated their ticket for this European competition and we will have the pleasure of supporting our French representatives as usual. On the player side, more Blues are sure to be part of the party.

The European Masters (EUM) allow the different national leagues of Europe to fight for a nice title. For some time now, the editions have followed and resembled each other since the LFL, carried by the Karmine Corp. and his triple title, takes everything in his path. This summer, we hope that our French structures will continue to impose their law.
If we are interested in the players, several tricolor have already confirmed their place. We obviously find Blues from the LFLbut also expats.
The French of the LFL
In LFL, two teams have already validated their place for the EUM by finishing top 1 and top 2 in the regular season. It remains to be seen whether they will begin their European adventure at the Play-In or the Main Event.
- LDLC OL : Eika and Exackick. 2022 could well be the year of the Foxes. Champions of France in the spring, they could repeat the performance this summer. A European title would make the season even tastier. The European scene is far from unknown for the midlaner, who has already won the competition in 2020 with… LDLC OL. The ADC has never won the tournament, even in its two appearances, it managed two beautiful courses (a final and a semi-final).
- BDS Academy : Adam and sheo. BDS Academy changed its roster mid-season, along with the LEC roster. Sheo is still faithful to the post and the Frenchman will hope to do better than at the previous EUMs, which ended prematurely. Adam is meanwhile back in the LFL and he seems to have quickly digested his relegation from the European top flight. He knows the EUM scene very well having won the trophy with the Karmine Corp in Spring 2021.
French people abroad
France is full of talent and some do not hesitate to go abroad, for lack of space or to discover new horizons. The European Masters will be an opportunity to find known faces, a little lost sight of.
- Stend (Dusty, NLC): this French support has never played in the first division of the LFL, but at TPAA and Oplon, he still had great adventures in Div 2 and in promotion tournaments. Recruited by Giants for the spring in the Spanish league, the test was not particularly conclusive (7th place). However, he has revived perfectly on the side of Dusty in the NLC with a first place in the regular season this summer.
- Jakoule (For The Win Esports, LPLOL): this tricolor toplaner started the year 2022 in the Mastercard Nexus Tour with MTP Esport. He thus participated in stages 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of the amateur circuit. After a little freelancing in the Belgian circuit, he then managed to find a place, during the season, in the Portuguese league. The Frenchman urgently replaced Curl, the team’s former top laner, who was injured. The misfortune of some is the happiness of others and Jakoule quickly made his mark to allow For The Win Esport to obtain 1st place in the regular season. By then winning 3-2 in the first round of the playoffs, the team validated its ticket for the EUM.
- Guertas (KRC Genk Esports, ESLOL): this French jungle is evolving with our Belgian neighbors. Passed by Div 2 and MCES Academy, he now plays for Genk. Already qualified for the EUM in the Spring, he repeated the performance this summer.
