The effective documentary “LoL – Free software, a serious affair”, directed by François Zaidi and co-written by Thierry Bayoud and Léa Deneuville, was released in 2019. Its authors released it in November 2022 under a Creative Commons CC by-nc license -sa (distributable but therefore not marketable).

Streamed on PeerTube

It is notably available, in addition to the Hors Ciné site, on PeerTube (which is to YouTube what Mastodon is to Twitter):

From RMS himself, therefore, to Pierre-Yves Gosset (Framasoft), Jean-Baptiste Kempf (VLC), Grégory Bécue (Smile), Henri Verdier (DINSIC during the recording, French ambassador for digital now), Frédéric Couchet (April) and eight others still, there is in this documentary a great concentration of explanations on free software from A to Z (source code, computer, proprietary software, right to interoperability exposed by the lawyer Marie Duponchelle…”
