G2 Esports got off to a bad start in the LEC Spring 2022 playoffs, suffering a clean loss to Fnatic (1-3). But since then, the Samurai have rebounded well. Irresistible this weekend, they gave a lesson to Team Vitality (3-0) then Misfits Gaming (3-0). The ancient kings of Europe are in good shape and are only two small victories from the throne. The next step will be worth the detour, since we will have the right to a new duel for history between Fnatic and G2 Esports. The Classico should once again keep all its promises and G2 will try to take revenge.
We had the opportunity to exchange a few words, in French, with Targamas, the support of the team. Brilliant against Misfits Gaming and very comfortable with Renata, he gave us his impressions of the current balance of power in the LEC. According to him, there is a big gap between the top 3 (Rogue, Fnatic and G2) and the rest. Targamas starting to be a regular at MGG. After having interviewed him during the regular season where he had given a lot of strength to the Karmine Corp, we had also welcomed him on the Twitch channel for a Daily just before the start of the playoffs. He once again made himself available to us and we thank him warmly for his kindness.
Obviously very happy after his victory against Misfits Gaming, we felt full of confidence for the future. Although he has a lot of respect for Fnatic and Rogue, these two teams are not untouchable. If G2 continues on the same path, the Samurai could well create a surprise and sign a magnificent reassembled in the lower bracket.
