In period of transfer window, fans are very attentive to information leaks and press releases from the various structures. There are a lot of movements and many teams are adjusting their squad. Many members of the community adore these moments, rich in twists and debates. But if we take the side of the players, the situation can be very different. The best known will have no trouble finding a starting place, though. But the others have to live with the stress of not having a team for the recovery… It can happen even to the best: Jankos will have narrowly escaped the bench, Upset would be forced to take a break.
A former captain of the Karmine Corp. would end up in this somewhat awkward situation: Cinkrof. The Pole shared the details of his situation on the networks and we can speak of a blow.
No team but no retreat
The jungler was playing in the LEC this year with Team BDS. The results were very complicated and the team, despite the changes during the mid-season, did not manage to play the playoffs, in Spring as in Summer. Cinkrof was not undeserved, however, and it was surely the player who left the best impression. Known for his leadership, he did not give up and even if he did not succeed in everything, he at least tried to create some game. It was not enough, but in the galley season of Team BDS it was already a little something.
Unfortunately for him, the Pole did not no team found for 2023. We do not know if he absolutely wanted to play in the LEC or if he was open to going back to the ERL … but we imagine that he did not receive sufficiently interesting offers. In any case, he assured that he wanted to play again. While he will have 26 years next year, he does not plan to retire. He will rather take a little break to try to come back later. He could very well take advantage of the redesign of the LEC (3 Splits) to get back in the stirrup very quickly. It’s clearly not ideal, but it could be a blessing in disguise.
A question of age?
On League of Legends, the structures tend to shun slightly “old” players. When you are over 25, it is often difficult to find a place for yourself. It’s hard to explain, but some consider that young players are hungrier and have more room for improvement. Today, this perception is based on elements that are difficult to prove, but it remains very tenacious.
At Team BDS, other players have not been to their advantage over the year in the LEC. We can cite the French Adam Where NUCLEARINT. They have, however, been kept by the team and are rumored to be playing in Europe’s top flight next year. They weren’t really better than Cinkrof, but they are much younger (20 years).
