LoL: Journal of Targamas at MSI, a sluggish victory

Photo: LoL Esports

It seems that we always remember his first time… His first champion on League of Legends, his first pentakillfrom his first ranked. For this reason, it is hoped that Raphael “Targamas“Crabbé is going to pull off a memorable performance at MSI this year, for his very first major international tournament. Of course, LFL fans will tell us that the Belgian has twice won the European Masters. But this time, we’re talking about a tournament at an infinitely higher level where Support will have the opportunity to meet legends like Faker and Xiaohu. He said during the LEC that participating in the MSI was a dream. But the dream has now become reality through hard work and self-sacrifice.

We will therefore follow the progress of the French speaker step by step, wishing him good luck. Europe have not won an international tournament for a while and we hope that the Samurai are in good shape. Make some noise for Targou!

appreciation of the day : on the merits, the performance of Targamas remains positive, but be careful not to rest on its laurels. The day was generally complicated and even if Targou has the facilities to shine, it is still necessary to ensure its fundamentals before having fun.

It was perfect until it wasn’t

There were clearly two periods for Targamas in his team’s victory against Evil Geniuses. At first, the Belgian managed a recital. He knew how to exploit to perfection the famous transition lvl 2 in botlane like an old veteran. While we thought we would only see this type of action in soloQ, we discovered that even some pro players could be fooled by this maneuver… Just take priority by pushing your wave to open a battle gate with one more level, skill and stats than his opponents. After this action which offered the First Blood in the Samurai, Targamas made his Pyke pick grow by going for a walk on the rest of the map. Sometimes in midlane, sometimes in botlane, sometimes in the jungle, he put pressure on opponents. Constantly outnumbered thanks to their support wisp, G2 flew to an easy victory…

Then it all fell apart after a call Nashor a bit risky. The Europeans threw the game and found themselves in great difficulty, losing in particular 3 inhibitors. It was unexpected for the LCS champions and for a while we were really scared. While EG had returned to golds, Targamas has more or less disappeared from the radar. Pyke is a very fragile champion and the Belgian had all the trouble finding his place in the teamfights. He admits it himself, he didn’t play very well and his stats speak for themselves: 0/1/6. If we can remember his absence of error, he was not a determining factor in the victory of his team. Looking at the replays, we could see that it was difficult for him to enter team fights and that he missed a lot of skill shots. We do not hold it against him and a victory remains a victory. Can’t wait to see the rest, hoping he will have a better situation to express his talent.

G2 almost qualified?

With this victory, G2 Esports find themselves in 3-0. More than ever, the qualification for the Rumble seems acquired and for the moment, the European champions are among the undefeated with T1 (Korea) and RNG (China). But you should know that the G2 hen is special. With the withdrawal of the Russian representatives, we got a pool with only 3 teams… Therefore there is a quadruple round Robin and the Samurai still have a lot of games to play. Obviously, that shouldn’t change much, but G2 must continue to play with a minimum of seriousness to validate their place.

And then finish with an 8-0, even if it doesn’t help much, it’s still very classy. It would also send a message to the rest of the world. G2 doesn’t come to Korea to string pearls, but to bring home the cup!

lfl-lol

The French League of Legends league dominates the ERL ecosystem more than ever. For some, the level of the LFL even tickles the level of the LEC … in particular because there are more and more former residents of the European elite. A jungler would be approaching.
