Decidedly, Riot Games does not have time to fool around at the start of the year. The Lunar Festival is back in League of Legends soon and, as usual, there are going to be skins, lots of skins to celebrate the event.

Porcelain, crystal rose and faded rose, no, that wasn’t enough for Riot Games, at least not tonight. The studio still had some skins to announce and not just any! If you play League of Legends for the past few years, this family of skins has not been completely new to you since it comes back every year. We are talking here about the Lunar Festival skins that we also associate with the Chinese New Year. After the Metal Ox in 2021, the Year of the Water Tiger!

We can think that the studio rushed to announce them, but it is not. The Chinese New Year will take place on February 1st this year, so we can assume that Riot will release these skins on time (in patch 12.3 which will be released on February 2) or a little early with patch 12.2. (scheduled for January 20). Anyway, 5 new appearances are currently being tested on the PBE to properly celebrate the event.

The Yordles at the party

This year, 5 champions have been honored: Tristana, Diana, Xin Zhao, Teemo and Sett.— those Yordles therefore. Small fun fact, Riot Games decided to pay homage to the old skins of this series on the new splasharts.

Also, behind Sett, we can see the Aphelios Lunar Beast skin (another ensemble celebrating the Lunar Festival), Annie panda and Jinx pyrotechnician behind Xin Zhao’s splashart.

League of Legends

All these appearances are being tested on the PBE for a release at the end of the month, or at the beginning of the next. Associated chromas will also be in the game, but they have not yet been revealed.

Personally, I fall for this fluffly little Teemo, and you?

And we continue with the skins tonight. After the presentation of the porcelain family, make way for roses on League of Legends. Three new appearances on this recent theme have appeared on the PBE.
