LoL: Norra, Yuumi’s mistress arrives… but not as League of Legends champion

Yuumi arrived on League of Legends in May 2019 and, like all new champions, Riot Games gave her lore. In this one, we discovered that the cat (since hated by many) was looking for his lost mistress named Norra. Since then, we have believed many times that she could arrive in the game. Before Vex was made official by the studio, there were some rumors that it was Norra, especially because of the Fallen King arc which leaves implying that the cat’s mistress has something to do with Viego and her story.

But in the end, it was the Shadow of Despair that had joined the summoner’s rift. Nevertheless, Norra could still arrive one day in Riot Games’ MOBA… but she will appear in another game from the studio first.

Direction Legends of Runeterra

As you will have understood, it is in the studio’s card game that Norra will make her debut. It will arrive in Legends of Runeterra with the new expansion, Awakening, on August 31. However, we can hope to one day meet her in the summoner’s fault.

This is something that has happened in the past. Important characters in the history of Runeterra, like Yone or Cithria, appeared in Legends of Runeterra rather than League of Legends. However, there is a particularity in the case of Norra: she will have the status of champion on LoR. This means that she has her own minions and spells, as well as an evolution mechanic.

A developed character which could therefore easily be transposed to the MOBA. Yone arrived on the card game before arriving on LoL, Cithria was present in the lore but only arrived on LoR. In addition, one of Riot Games’ wishes is to transpose characters already existing in the history of Runeterra into its games., what the studio will therefore do with Norra. It remains to be seen if the idea is already in the mind of one of the developers and if one day, Yuumi’s mistress will find her way to the Summoner’s Rift.

We readily recognize it, the title is putaclic but it is fully assumed. This weekend, Faker and T1 validated their ticket for the Worlds of League of Legends and nothing would have been possible without a totally WTF action from a Yuumi.
