Riot Games delighted us this week with its first announcements for the 2023 League of Legends preseason. In particular, we learned the name of the next champion, K’Sante – a tank that will be played on the top lane – but also information on the next characters to arrive in Summoner’s Rift, revelations on the changes to come in the jungle, and more. Find in our recap ‘all the announcements that should not be missed!
K’Sante, the next champion to join the game
Riot Games revealed a lot of information about the next champion – a top lane tank – to join Summoner’s Rift. Not content to give us his name, we learn a lot about his lore, but also about the weapon he will wield!
A Darkin and an Enchanter in early 2023
Even if Riot Games has decided to slow down the output level, the studio is already working on the two champions who will come after K’Sante. First information has already been given: we therefore know that a new Darkin will soon be surveying the Summoner’s Rift, but also an enchanting character, but male!
Aurelion Sol Gameplay Update
The Starforger CWM is coming soon! Riot Games is almost done with the champion and his new spells are starting to be revealed. Our Aurelion Sol will be 100% dragon-like and will soon be able to spit flames into Summoner’s Rift.
Changes in the Jungle
We already knew that the jungle would be at the heart of the studio’s concerns, which revealed new changes to come for this very special position, but not only. The Techno-Chemical Dragon—removed earlier this year—will be making a comeback in Summoner’s Rift.
Two medium-scale updates confirmed
The studio also confided in medium-scale updates. There have been many in recent months, we can think of Janna, Ahri, Swain, Taliyah, Olaf or even more recently Sivir. And the developers are not going to stop on such a good path since two new characters have already been chosen to receive a medium-sized update.
An Update on Ahri’s Redesign
Many summoners have been asking for news of this famous visual overhaul for some time. After hard work from the development team, they showed a good amount of images and videos of what the champion will look like. The base version is pretty much complete, but it looks like the time has come to visually change all of Ahri’s skins.
Revamped Gothic skin theme
After more than six months of waiting, the developers have revealed what the skins chosen by the community will look like at the start of the season. A reimagined gothic universe that arrived as scary night and who was able to surprise all the players in a very positive way.
