LoL: Reactions from Asian communities after G2 victories

As so often during the victories of European teams against the Korean and Chinese titans, the public of the Old Continent is on fire and begins to dream of a final victory. It is obviously much too early to draw conclusions, especially after simple victories in BO1, while the final matches will be BO5, a very different format. If wins against T1 and RNG are good for the egos of Samurai fans, bombing the tournament favorites is probably over-enthusiasm. Nevertheless, if such reactions do not necessarily surprise the side of the supporters, a significant part of the Asian community is also delighted with the victories of G2.for a fairly obvious reason.

A strong Europe for a better League of Legends

To say that part of the Asian fans were delighted with European victories is neither a lie nor an excess of zeal. Of course there are RNG fans who were delighted to see the Korean champion dismissed, and vice versa. The main reason given, however, has nothing to do with seeing a rival team fail. Many of those elated by the Samurai victory have been in the hope that these victories are nothing special, and mark the return of Europe as a credible challenger for the sacred monsters of the LCK. and the LPL. Having a third region at the same level as those currently dominating League of Legends is great news for fans. This allows for better story telling for them, while adding suspense to encounters that are often sorely lacking. Along with Europe returning to the top level, these fans are also hoping that one day North America will also up its game, in hopes of finally seeing international events where every region is a credible contender at the final victory. In addition to Europe and North America, another region was mentioned a lot, to everyone’s surprise.

The Wildcard region that has attracted the most attention is Brazil. This is of course due to the level of play of their representatives, the Red Canids who have not gone far from qualifying for this phase, but also to the enthusiasm of the Brazilian community. Very demonstrative and very active on social networks, Brazilian fans live the competition on League of Legends as intensely as a football World Cup. The European public certainly has a good reputation, but that of the Brazilians exceeds it on the international scene, and it is not undeserved. Fans from other regions would therefore love to see a Brazilian team be able to compete with the best teams in the world, if only to see the atmosphere in which BO5 against T1, RNG or G2 would take place.

The reactions of professionals

League of Legends

As usual, Faker was very sober. The three-time world champion simply said that he was really outclassed by Caps in this match, and that he will get revenge in the return match. Keria got more wet, announcing that T1 would finish this phase in 9-1. If the support recognizes that the victory G2 is deserved, he declares himself confident on the result of the return match, estimating that G2 would not win a BO5 against them. Oner goes further, estimating that the final will be played between T1 and G2, although the jungler believes that RNG also has a chance. According to him, the team lost because some players were too arrogant towards the Europeans.

RNG players did not speak, but Uzi reacted on his stream. According to him, Caps turns into a Super Saiyan every time he has to face one of the best midlaners in the world, but besides that, he will make many more mistakes against an opponent that the Dane would consider less dangerous.

After weeks of waiting and all kinds of theories, Riot Games has finally formalized the 160th League of Legends champion. Discover the story of Bel’Veth, the terrible Void Empress, whose goal is to destroy everything in her path.
