LoL: Riot Reveals Adjustments For Season 13

First of all, it is important to note that all this new data will appear on the PBE soon. They are therefore likely to change, especially in terms of statistics, throughout their test phase, but also when they arrive on the live server.

Ward Changes

It will now be possible to see where is the lifetime of allied wards, wherever they are on the map. When there are 60 or 30 seconds left on a beacon, specific symbols will let you know.

A similar version of this visual addition will appear on the enemy wards. More specifically, it’s a mechanic that will obviously reward communication. Indeed, the timer will only appear on the enemy wards on two conditions: having seen the beacon being placed and signaling its presence to your teammates. A feature that should include promote communication between the jungle and the lanes to prepare for the gank phases.

Communication Changes

Following on from the last point mentioned, new pings appear. The wheel provided for this purpose has been updated to incorporate the new elements. In particular, we have new types of signals, which make it possible to deliver information that is a little more complex than those present historically.

Innovative pings, to move forward, invite your team to hold a position or attract an enemy to a location. This will allow greater strategic finesse with players who are not necessarily vocal with each other.

Along with these general pings, a new wheel appears for those related to vision. In this context, we can now indicate that an area needs allied vision or is clear of enemy vision.

Finally, in order to better circulate information from one end of the map to the other, the pings will be displayed from further away. As for missing enemies, the indication will be visible everywhere on the map. Other types of pings will be displayed if they are issued within a certain range.

Lane Changes

In parallel with the new jungle mechanics, the lanes are also experiencing some changes, especially for gold and experience gains.

Solo Lane Experience: Solo lanes will receive a 95% (was 93%) XP multiplier on minions.
Duo Lane Experience: Duo lanes will receive a 22% (was 24.73%) XP multiplier on minions.
Mid lane gold change: All minions that spawn in mid lane will be worth 1 gold less before 14 minutes when you deal the finishing blow to them. (previously only cannon minions were worth less gold, but they were worth 10 gold less)

Suggestions for spells and runes

Finally, a new feature is appearing, mainly aimed at new players. The more inexperienced can count on the extension of the suggestion system, which now covers runes and summoner spells. Like the jungle routes that may also be suggested, this new information will be updated with each patch based on their success on the Rift.
