LoL: Riot wants to see Miss Fortune in Worlds and buff her on the PBE

Riot Games continues its changes for the 2022 League of Legends World Championships and, after announcing a series of major improvements to Maokai, it’s now Miss Fortune’s turn. While she’s not quite as overlooked a champion as the Tortured Treant, she’s still one of the studio’s most beloved champions and it looks like the devs wanted to give her a little nudge on the PBE, hoping , probably, to see her shine on the Worlds stage.

Do you want buffs, here they are

It was Tim “TheTruexy”, associate designer at Riot, who announced these changes to the bounty hunter in virtually all of her abilities (except her passive). Tim himself mentioned that these tweaks are meant to improve the champion’s critical build and adjusting her lethality build, which has been standard for the champion over the past few patches.

Miss Fortune

Doubled

Physical damage increased: 20/40/60/80 (+100% AD) (+35% AP) → 20/45/70/95/120 (+100% AD) (+35% AP)

Skill casting time: 0.25 seconds → same time as auto-attack

Z – Boastful

Mana cost decreased: 45 → 35

Attack speed increased: 40/55/70/85/100% → 50/65/80/95/110%

E – Bullet Rain

Cooldown increased: 18/16/14/12/10 → 18/17/16/15/14 seconds

Total damage changed from 80/115/150/185/220 (+80% AP) → 70/100/130/160/190 (+100% AP)

Slow changed: 40/45/50/55/60% → 50% (+4% for 100 AP)

R – Lead Barrage

Chance of critical hits changed: 20% damage of each wave → 30%

As you can see in the upgrades, one of the big changes you’ll see with the new Miss Fortune will be the cast time of her Q – Double, which will cast at the same speed as a normal auto-attack and will therefore depend on the overall attack speed of the champion. Additionally, AP scaling has been improved on all skills, which may be surprising because several months ago, Riot itself made a change to the champion that prevented AP builds from being viable.

While it doesn’t seem like something worthwhile right now, it’s likely to be something to consider in the future, as players might find an explosive combo that breaks Riot devs’ heads.

The news had leaked via the PBE but it’s now official: the Summoner’s Cup, rewarding the world champions of League of Legends, has had a makeover! If some had criticized its design, now that we can see it in real life, some of the opinions could change.
