The organization of Worlds 2022 has announced several cases of contamination with Covid-19 in the teams present at the international event of League of Legends. This October 13, Riot clarified that after having done some prevention tests, which made it possible to detect that several teams were positive. In the process, the teams gave news to their supporters. Edward Gaming has notably announced that the mid laner Scout was sick and will therefore play the next encounters remotely.

For its part, DWG KIA specifies that its jungler Canyon tested positive, same on Gen.G side with mid laner Chovy as well as the members of the coaching staff, Score and Museong. Per Riot protocols, victims will compete remotely in a quarantined building. For the moment, all infected players seem to be in condition to play the scheduled encounters, then return once the contamination period is over.

Riot finally specifies that the order of the matches in the days to come may be subject to change following these isolations.
