LoL: the French in LEC, Jezu revived

The black streak continues for BDS, with another week without victories. For their part, SK and Misfits managed to win their two meetings. Small zoom on the performance of the players of the Hexagon.

Scoring scale out of 10:

  • 0: played Yuumi jungle (but why??)
  • 1: Human Ward
  • 2: Poor performance, unworthy of an LEC player
  • 3-4: Below expected level / made big mistakes
  • 5: Average / alternated between excellent and mediocre
  • 6-7: Solid on his support, the player was one of the driving forces of the collective
  • 8-9: Not content with outclassing his direct opponent(s), the player has had the luxury of making crazy moves
  • 9.5: 1v9 god, with moves at 200 IQ
  • 10: If perfection had a name, it would have its own
  • 11: 1v9 god, moves at 200 IQ while playing Yuumi jungle

Adam ill-rewarded

Adam hasn’t played badly this week, far from it. BDS on the contrary showed a good level, but never managed to turn this into a victory. With Jayce then Tryndamere, the former Karmine Corp caused problems for opposing teams, but it was not enough. BDS is missing something to confirm, even if the individual level of the players is not in question. Although the team is still looking for itself, we must not hide the positive points shown so far. They are on the right track, but need to get back to winning ways soon, because last week’s games were well within their reach.

NUCLEARINT, the pillar

Although he played two very different champions, the BDS midlaner’s role in both games was the same. He was responsible for helping get the team started on the right track in the midgame, before letting the other members on late characters take over in the late game. The Frenchman managed to put his team on the right track whether with Galio or with Leblanc. If BDS did not win, it is because the team sinned during the regrouping phases, leaving their opponents the opportunity to come back. The responsibility is collective, and each player will have to work to materialize the advantages taken in early/mid. There is not much missing for BDS to live up to their ambitions.

Jezu, colossus with feet of clay

Let’s be clear that if a player has particularly distinguished himself at SK this week, it is Sertuss. Nevertheless in the match against MAD Lions, Jezu was able to respond. His Aphelios was pixel perfect, dealing damage in conjunction with his mid laner. Both players contributed greatly to the final victory. On the other hand, the Frenchman was much more discreet against BDS. The composition of the team certainly did not revolve around him, but his Jinx was quite anecdotal. She served more as a lightning rod than a reliable carry, still drawing dps from the enemy team, and the lack of peel in the SK composition prevented her from really playing the game. While not mediocre, her performance in the second match was still below that of his teammates, and it could have been expensive.

Vetheo, the boss

The Misfits mid laner has just been fantastic. To the point that we would almost consider him no longer as a young shoot of the LEC, but as a real gentleman, capable of sitting at the table of the top players of the competition. Despite a difficult match up at the start of the game against XL (Vetheo played Ryze, Nukeduck Leblanc), Vetheo managed to have a lot of influence throughout the game, thanks to his ultimates and his general positioning. Impeccable on the lane, irreproachable in teamfight, he clearly showed that he will have to reckon with the Rabbits for this end of the split.

What was most amazing with the tricolor this week was that he managed against MAD Lions to pass off his excellent performance with Ryze, for something ok tier, by releasing an incredible Corki for the second game of the week. Ok, it went from 6/0/15 on Ryze to 5/0/2 on Corki, so it would be that it was less impressive. Nay, ladies and gentlemen! His Corki did 42% of the team’s damage, and no, that’s not a typo where the 2 and 4 would have been swapped. Without him, the game would have been very different because his partners were rather in difficulty during this match. Saying he’s 1v9 would probably be an overstatement, but giving him a small 1v5 isn’t undeserved.

Vetheo seems to have what it takes to follow in the footsteps of players like Hans-Sama, SoAz or Yell0wStaR. Nevertheless, an excellent player is not only a genius capable of dazzling, but someone who is constant, especially during major events. If the playoffs seem almost secure, it will above all be necessary to transform the test on this occasion. The way is traced, but we must not deviate from the path.

Fans have been waiting for Uzi’s big return to competition. The best ADC in League of Legends history became a pro player again in early 2022. But until now, he had yet to appear in an official match. It’s now done with some high class action.

At 25 years old, Faker still has it under his belt. The Mid Laner of T1 passed a new milestone today by crossing the bar of 1000 games played in LCK.
