LoL: The item that terrified the community and is now no longer used by any player

League of Legends players tend to overreact when they discover new features coming to the game. If Riot Games introduces mechanics that are too risky or can lead to spectacular results, the common reaction is to criticize the developer. or panic at the new possibilities. This is a common reaction to new developments and not necessarily a bad thing.. The problem is that, in many cases, the reality is much less disruptive than the players had imagined. A good example is the special case of the Axiomatic Arc.

The item no League of Legends player uses

Statistics say that it would take countless games to see a player using the Axiomatic Bow. Finally, if we are lucky enough to be in the Silver rank, where he is only the sixth least chosen element by the community. As you move up in MMR, players are even less likely to use this item, which becomes the least popular once you reach the Diamond. There, only 0.1% of players decide to buy it. His situation is not unique, since the Tempest Blade, the Navori Quickblades or the Abyssal Mask are also rarely selected.

Axiomatic Arc

+55 attack damage

+10 lethality

+25 skill haste

3,000 gold

Unique Passive – Flow : Each time a champion dies within 3 seconds of you damaging them, your ultimate’s cooldown is reduced by 20% of its total.

However, there is a fundamental difference between the Axiomatic bow and all the other items that have fallen out of favor throughout League of Legends history. None have drawn so much criticism against Riot Games. During the month that followed its release, the object was the subject of all the attention, and gamers kept uploading clips of the item in action on Reddit and social media. The reviews were such that Riot Games even modified the object in question. In it, the ultimate ability cooldown return has been reduced from 25% to 20%.

Since then, other than an occasional glitch on the ARAM map, there are hardly any champions who can take advantage of it. Its stats are pretty poor for the cost and only Nocturne has it as a possible choice (not necessarily the best one). It also has very little niche use with Pyke, and that’s the end of the list. Only two of the 162 characters in League of Legends are able to take advantage of it, and in neither case is it the most used or successful option.. The situation should not change anytime soon.

The community was partly right in their complaints when the Axiomatic Arc launched. It’s an item that has no compromises, either it’s so bad that only a few exceptions can benefit from it, or it’s too powerful and creates frustrating game patterns.. The League of Legends developers may have felt the risk was worth it, as it could lead to some very rewarding gameplay, but the truth is, the item never really worked. It’s true that we’ve seen Nocturne use the ultimate twice per fight, but to do that he needed to eliminate the entire opposing team.

The future of this object could be a rework or its complete deletion. Riot Games devs generally have no problem removing lesser-used items if they feel they don’t add anything positive to the game. Also, the usual practice is to give them a year to see how they fit in. The Axiomatic Arc’s first anniversary as a League of Legends item will be on November 17.

Next year, Rogue will no longer be in the LEC, well no longer in its current form. The structure is associated with KOI, on League of Legends as elsewhere. Much is expected of Ibai’s contribution in terms of influence. But this association could also have effects on the sporting level.
