Lol: The revival of Gothic skins is here and the community should be delighted

As with the next MVG of champions, Riot Games had submitted a vote to the League of Legends community allowing it to bring back a theme of skins in Summoner’s Rift. Players had the choice between possibilities: Infernal, Gothic or Purifiers. The goal was simple: give them more meaning and better represent their in-game identity.

A welcome revival

It is therefore an almost forgotten family of skins that will make its big comeback in the fault: that of the Gothics (which had arrived largely at the top of the survey) or rather Scary night as you must call it now. It must be said that there are currently only three themed skins: one for Annie (October 2009 which was updated recently), one for Amumu (Emumu in August 2010) and one for Orianna ( June 2011). As you will have understood, it has been more than a decade since any cosmetic bearing this style has been introduced in the game. Well, all that is about to change!

Riot Games has therefore decided to revamp this theme from A to Z and, for the occasion, Annie has been rewarded with a new skin, and she will not be the only one. In effect, no less than 5 other champions have been chosen to celebrate this renewal: Trundle, Urgot, Draven, Nautilus and Renata Glasc Nuit d’effroir!

  • Anne : She will have waited less than a year for a new appearance, the last being Café chouchous in December 2021
  • Trundle : Troll lovers can rejoice since the champion has been waiting since January 2020 (latest, Dragonslayer)
  • Urgot : Almost 2 and a half years since Urgot cosplay Keepers of the Pajamas was released!
  • Nautilus : One year younger than Urgot for the Titan of the Deep as he received a Shan Hai Scrolls themed skin in January 2021
  • Draven : The champion is not behind in terms of skin since he received two skins last year (Fallen and Seducer). He will therefore have waited less than a year to receive his 11th appearance
  • Renata Glasc : Second skin for the Baroness of Chemistry which was released in February this year

League of Legends

As usual, these skins—along with their chromas—will spend two weeks on the PBE and will arrive with patch 12.18 on live servers, patch scheduled for Wednesday, September 21, 2022, according to Riot Games’ official schedule. An absolutely perfect date to celebrate Halloween in Summoner’s Rift. It remains to be seen whether the developers have any other surprises in store for us. There is little chance, but we can still hope!

So, what do you think of this reinvented theme? Are you convinced or not?

The fantastic store of League of Legends is enriched with the arrival of a new skin with patch 12.18. It’s Sylas’ turn to join the family of Ash Knights.
