Announced a few days ago, Riot Games has just revealed a little more about Yuumi’s upcoming rework.

It is the most controversial champion on Summoner’s Rift since her arrival in 2019, Yuumi is still at the heart of the debates. After a remarkable presence at the Worlds (Editor’s note: 95% presence and 100% win rate), Yuumi has once again demonstrated its full potential at the competitive level. Unfortunately, this potential is starting to frustrate more and more professional players, but also ranked players who see ubiquitous Yuumi.

It is for this reason that Riot Games has decided to look into the Yuumi case and announce an upcoming mini rework for the most hated cat in League of Legends. If we do not yet know exactly what to expect, the publisher has just announced some interesting elements. Indeed, the goal for Riot is to “modify Yuumi to make her an easy-to-learn enchanter who will protect and empower her allies“. If it is similar to what it already is now, it will be characterized by reduced damage and crowd control to strengthen its power and defense at the start of the game.

Indeed, even if Yuumi was decried for her power at the end of the game, she remained vulnerable in the early game which jeopardized his ADC, often forced to compete alone against two. This change should allow Yuumi to improve during the lane phase but reduce its impact, which is far too great, at the end of the game. If other changes are studied, such as the possibility of decreasing its power when it is on characters with high mobility like LeBlanc, all this is still only a phase of reflection and we will have to wait before seeing this rework on the servers.
