LoL Wild Rift: some skins may never come to the game

It’s in a long thread Twitter that Riot EarthSlug, responsible for skins for League of Legends: Wild Rifthas explained the skin selection process for each game. This process seems to indicate that some cosmetics will not end up in both titles. Although Wild Rift was modeled after League of Legendsthe manager explained that only certain skins will be shared by both games, while others will be exclusive.

Selection is based on factors such as the time elapsed since a champion’s last skin or his total number of skins. It is important to say that, according to EarthSlug, creating a skin for the mobile version can take twice as long as for the PC version.

Thus, the team must make their decision on which skins will join the mobile game long before they are released. Due to these factors, not all skins available in LoL will end up in Wild Rift, and vice versa.

Different skins could be exclusive between the two titles and there may not only be skins. Indeed, last April, a Riot employee revealed that, although it is not planned at the momentthe addition of Wild Rift-exclusive champions wasn’t impossible.
