Lola Weippert turns her back on her homeland. As the presenter announces, she will soon be moving to New York. In the US metropolis, she seems to want to recharge her batteries because Lola feels burned out.

At the age of 26, Lola Weippert achieved what many of her age still dream of: She is a successful presenter, has just gotten her first show with “Skate Fever”, travels from city to city and has recently also been the owner of a farm. But even the “Duracell rabbit”, as she calls herself, sometimes reaches its limits. Now Lola seems to have made a decision that will fundamentally change her life.

Lola Weippert: “I need time”

“The overexcited, good-humoured Duracell bunny has just been pushing too hard and the seemingly endless battery is just a bit broken. I need time to get my energy back,” she admits in an honest and unusually serious post that she shared with her around 520,000 Instagram followers. She has been on TV productions for three months and cannot simply break off. It couldn’t be any better professionally, but “success makes you lonely” and she finally has to work on her work-life balance, says the 26-year-old.

“I get up and work until I go to bed. I travel from A to B, staying short everywhere but never really long to wind down and breathe [sic]”, she continues. “It’s simply not possible to meet friends spontaneously or end the evening in a relaxed manner. I live out of a suitcase, I only come home to not even unpack the suitcase, but only to repack it and I’m stressed all the time. [sic]”

All she longs for is running barefoot through the grass, for silence, rest and togetherness. So she spent 24 hours with her mother on her farm to recharge her batteries for the next few weeks of production. But Lola wants more.

The presenter makes a big announcement

A few days ago, she announced her decision on Instagram: “I’m moving to New York.” She gives the reason right away. “We never know how long we may be in this world and time is our most precious commodity as our time in this world is limited and cannot be bought.” It should be ready by mid-September, initially for a month to “see how much I like it”.

The young presenter receives a lot of encouragement from her fans and friends. “Best decision, you’re doing everything right”, for example, reality TV star Filip Pavlovic, 28, encourages her. But she won’t give up her career. When asked by a fan what would become of her farm “Lolaland” and her job, Lola Weippert gave the all-clear: “Lolaland is being built up & my job is being expanded, I will of course watch all TV shows, I won’t miss that and it is yes only one month! [sic]”
