The Lollapalooza festival in Berlin is sure to attract attention with a large line-up: stars like Sam Smith will be performing in September.

On September 7th and 8th, 2024, the Lollapalooza festival will once again take place in Berlin’s Olympic Park. Festival visitors have been able to buy tickets for months, but who will appear on the stages in and around the Olympic Stadium has not yet been finally clarified. Only now, on March 13, 2024, was it the complete line-up for the mega festival has been announced.

British singer Sam Smith (31) will be the big headliner in the capital. In addition to Smith, star DJ Martin Garrix (27), rapper Shirin David (28) and her hip-hop colleague Cro (34) as well as the Berlin indie pop group Von Wegen Lisbeth will also be performing. The creators are once again relying on a colorful genre mix of pop, electro, indie and rap.

Other top acts include the West African musician and Grammy winner Burna Boy (32), the K-pop band Seventeen and the German singer-songwriter Mine (38). The Lollapalooza festival first took place in 1991 and started as an annual festival series in the USA. There has also been a German branch in Berlin since 2015.

A standard two-day ticket currently costs 199 euros and is currently still available on the festival’s official website. In recent years, superstars such as Billie Eilish (22), Dua Lipa (28), Macklemore (40) and David Guetta (56) have been guests. Important bands such as the Foo Fighters, Imagine Dragons and the Kings of Leon have also performed at Lollapalooza in Berlin.

Calvin Harris is also coming to Superbloom in Munich

Sam Smith, Shirin David, Cro and Burna Boy will also be performing at the parallel Superbloom Festival in Munich’s Olympic Park. However, the makers were able to land the British singer and DJ Calvin Harris (40) as an additional headliner in the Bavarian capital. The Superbloom took place in Munich for the first time in 2022, when Harris also stood on the stage of the Munich Olympic Stadium there.
