The Lollapalooza in Berlin has been canceled. Until the end, the organizers had hoped to get the festival off the ground.

The Lollapalooza Festival in Berlin was canceled again for 2021. The organizers are now giving this in a statement known. Until the very end, they tried to be able to welcome visitors again this year. But due to the corona restrictions and the situation in Germany, a “spectacular festival weekend” in the heart of Berlin is not possible.

What happens to the tickets?

They want to “return stronger and louder than ever before” in 2022, it continues. Ticket holders can keep their tickets from 2020 or follow the instructions in an email that will be sent by the ticket providers within the next 14 days, the statement continues.

In 2015 the US festival Lollapalooza got a European offshoot in Berlin. A superlative open-air event was also planned in and around the Olympic Stadium there in 2020. But it didn’t come to that: the organizers canceled the festival planned for September 5th and 6th. This year, too, it should have taken place at the beginning of September.
