Lollipop Chainsaw: Censorship to be expected for the remake? The producer responds

It was expected that Lollipop Chainsaw returns in one form or another following its tenth anniversary, but certainly not before the title offers itself a real remake. It is in any case the project of Dragami Games and its president Yoshimi Yasuda, who intend to give a facelift to this bloody and sexy adventure. But as soon as the first changes were announced, in terms of graphics and music, fans of the game grew fearful that censorship was in the game, given that the mores of today are not those of yesterday. The producer has precisely responded to these fears in a new message.

The story remains the same

First of all, Yasuda clarifies that the changes concerning the soundtrack are necessarily mandatory, since the studio was unable to get the rights to sixteen tracks again.

Regarding the graphic aspect, the style will change somewhat by adopting a more realistic aspect, but that the fans of Juliet are reassured, the design of the heroine will not be changed. As history, which will not move one iotaand which will be the same in this remake.

No censorship?

Regarding the delicate issue of censorship, Yasuda specifies that the studio does not want any, but it will also have to be validated by the manufacturers and the platforms so that nothing changes. :

We learned after the announcement of the Lollipop Chainsaw remake that many fans were concerned about censorship in the game. We have not yet discussed the issue with the various platforms, so cannot comment on the matter , but what we can say is that we intend to negotiate with them to ensure that the game can be as close to the original version as possible. »

A response that therefore remains unresolved for the moment, but we at least know what the intention of the studio is.
