Lollipop Chainsaw is “back”, but in what form?

In June 2012, players on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 discovered Lollipop Chainsawan action game featuring Julieta cheerleader armed with a chainsaw facing hordes of zombies. A wacky and fun title developed by Grasshopper Manufactorywhich is currently celebrating its tenth anniversary.

The game designer Suda51screenwriter james gunn and the cosplayer Jessica Nigri did not fail to share their memories on social networks for the occasion, but Yoshimi Yasuda lets go a short message even more surprising. the old CEO of Kadokawa Gameswhich published the game in Japan 10 years ago, announces that “Lollipop Chainsaw is back thanks to Dragami Games”his new publishing company founded last month.

And we have to be content with that for the moment, enough to tickle the curiosity of the players. Will we be entitled to a real sequel? A remake? A remaster? At present, Lollipop Chainsaw is unplayable on modern platforms, not benefiting from backward compatibility on PlayStation 4/5 or Xbox One/Series X|S. A remastered version would be an opportunity to allow new players to discover the title, bringing it to PC and why not Nintendo Switch. But we will have to wait to find out in what form this return of Lollipop Chainsaw will happen. If you have an old console on hand, the game is sold €44.21 per Fnac.
