(Boursier.com) — Lombard Odier and Enterprise for Society Center (E4S) today announce a multi-year partnership to encourage research on sustainable finance, with a particular focus on the transition to a circular economy.
As part of this collaboration, Lombard Odier and E4S will work closely to develop cutting-edge research focused on understanding the nature of the transition to a circular economy, identifying corresponding societal challenges, and economic convergence between businesses and investments.

E4S is a joint initiative of the University of Lausanne, IMD and EPFL, whose mission is to encourage and activate the transition towards a resilient and inclusive economy while respecting planetary limits, while keeping in mind mind the opportunities and challenges raised by scientific and technological developments. The Center offers training through its Master’s Program in Sustainable Management and Technology, supports innovation and entrepreneurship, and produces research papers and policy briefs on topics of societal importance.

Lombard Odier’s offering is based on its fundamental investment belief that our economy needs to transition from a wasteful, inefficient, inequitable and dirty economy to a more circular, efficient, inclusive and clean model (or CLIC(R)), involving transitions within energy systems, land and oceans, in the way we use materials and in the way the cost of negative environmental impacts are factored into the economy and communities. business models.

The partnership with E4S expands Lombard Odier’s existing network of commercial and research partners, and aims to define how the adoption of circular business models can accelerate these environmental transitions.
