The Mi Band 8 is only available in China so far, Xiaomi fans have been eagerly awaiting the worldwide release for months. Now a dealer reveals the date for this and the price.
In April, Xiaomi unveiled the Mi Band 8 (also called Smart Band 8) in China. In recent years, the global market launch of the fitness tracker has usually taken place around three months later. But the summer has almost passed without Xiaomi having made a corresponding announcement. But now there is a sign of life from the coveted gadget.
Polish retailer X-Kom lists the Mi Band 8 for pre-order. The release date is October 4th. The price: 199 zloty, which corresponds to around 45 euros. The shop also lists the NFC version of the fitness tracker, but without price and release date.

Mi Band 8 release in October?
Why is Xiaomi taking so long to release this year? One can only speculate about that. According to the magazine GadgetsandWearables.com, the high demand in China could simply have exceeded Xiaomi’s capacities, especially since the manufacturer is again producing the Mi Band in-house and does not have it manufactured by long-term partner Hunami.
