The denim skirt is a real classic. It’s back this fall – and in extra length. As a modern alternative to blue jeans, the long denim skirt can be combined in many ways. Edgy or elegant, we’ll show you how it’s done.

The fashion trends of the 90s are making a comeback this year. This also applies to the long denim skirt, which is reminiscent of the typical grunge look of the 90s with chunky shoes and a black top. For many, low-rise jeans and the like are a real nightmare, but we will be welcoming the maxi denim skirt with open arms this fall.
The skirt is available in many variations this season, so there really is something for every taste: with a front leg slit, completely without a slit, or in colorful washes and a patchwork design. When it comes to styling, the denim skirt, like its relative, denim pants, is a real all-round talent.
This is how you give the long denim skirt an elegant touch
Modern basics are the denim skirt’s best friend. A classic turtleneck sweater or a black blazer with black leather boots give the skirt a timeless elegance. The maxi skirt is also a stylish companion for the office in an all-denim look with a denim shirt or a denim jacket in a similar wash. You can also upgrade your outfit with accessories such as gold-colored hoop earrings.

This is how you casually style the maxi denim skirt
For a casual look, you can combine the maxi skirt with an oversized sweater and sneakers. Important here: Tuck the sweater loosely into the denim skirt. With this you create a beautiful silhouette and the look doesn’t look baggy.
This is how you give the jeans trend an edgy look
If you don’t want to do without the 90s grunge look, you can combine the long denim skirt with a cropped top and a large leather jacket. Add black accessories like a black baguette bag and chunky loafers and the ’90s look is complete.
