Shortly before autumn, editor Linda has to get out her pen and paper because she finds the hottest trends on Instagram – and the shopping list doesn’t write itself.

The last rays of sun are forcing us into shorts and t-shirts, but I’ll be honest… autumn is already knocking on my wardrobe begging: “Please, let me see your sweaters and long pants.” No problem, you’re welcome. But two or three new items still have to be added to my wardrobe. Of course I’ll show you some, but spoilers and warning: I will NOT combine them with each other. These pieces deserve the big stage – as solo artists.

1. Cool striped look like Dua Lipa

It was once said that stripes make you fat. I don’t care what they do – I love them this season. September especially appealed to me Dua Lipa almost automatically filled my shopping cart with a selfie: Her asymmetrical zipper with striking black and white stripes completes any simple look without looking too over the top. But: Stripes don’t look boring either. They have a timeless charm and at the same time exude a certain nostalgic or retro-modern appeal. Tip: Combine vertical and horizontal stripes to create an interesting effect. If you like it more subtle, combine classic blue jeans with your look like Dua.

2. Long sleeve and sequin dress like Pernille Rosenkilde

Spending a lot of money on a party dress that is ultimately only taken out of the closet for one occasion is not only annoying, but also a shame. It’s not for nothing that people fell in love with the glamorous items of clothing. You would love to wear them all the time! You can also do it, as Pernille Rosenkilde proves. She combines a red sequin dress (it literally screams WOW!) with a white long sleeve. For autumn, add tights and boots and voilà: you have an eye-catching outfit that can be worn casually during the day.

3. Oversized blazer combo like Julie Lellouche

Give me an oversized blazer and I’ll get through the year just fine! In the past I would have laughed at myself, but today there is a lot of truth in that sentence. Julie Lellouche shows you how to do it! She wears short shorts with the oversized model – but the oversized piece can also be combined brilliantly in autumn and winter. Add skinny jeans and a turtleneck sweater and you’re done! One thing is certain: the blazer with broad shoulders and an oversized design looks elegant and casual: in the office, while strolling through town and in the bar.
