Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports, the toons make their return in a little sports game

Warner Bros. Games capitalizes on its licenses and has already highlighted its Looney Tunes In MultiVersus, which was recently relaunched. It’s not going to stop there, since we discovered yesterday during the Nintendo Direct a game called Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports. This is far from the first time that these characters have exercised in a video game production, with for example Looney Tunes Galactic Sports in 2015 on PSVita, but this title will especially bring back memories to older players who experienced the era of productions Tiny Toonnotably Tiny Toon Adventures: Wild & Wacky Sportseven if here there will not be the side party game.

This game developed by Bamtang Games (Avatar: The Last Airbender – Quest for Balance) and edited by GameMill Entertainment will offer fun alone or in local cooperation for up to four people in arcade-style games of basketball, football, golf and tennis by playing different Looney Tunes. It looks fun, but the content still seems pretty lame.

  • Take part in 4 iconic sports – 2v2 arcade basketball, 1v1 or 2v2 arcade tennis, 4-player golf and 3v3 arcade soccer.
  • Play as 9 iconic Looney Tunes characters – Including Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Sylvester, Taz, Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner.
  • Choose your way to play – Rush with Roadrunner, Lola Bunny or Silvester, defeat with pure force like Elmer Fudd, Porky Pig or Taz, or outsmart your opponents with Wile E. Coyote, Daffy or Bugs.
  • Play against your friends and family – 4-player local co-op.
  • Discover the Looney universe – Play through iconic levels such as Galactic Outpost Delta, Porky’s Barn, Foghorn’s Farm, Road Runner’s Canyon, Whispering Woods, Martian Command Center, Granny’s House and many more!
  • Unleash the full arsenal of ACME and disrupt your opponents in the wackiest ways possible, but watch out for the falling anvils!

Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports is expected on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC (Steam). Some visuals are available on the following page.

No release date was given during the announcement, just a simple “fall 2024”, but Maximum Entertainment France which will publish physical editions on PS5 and Switch indicated in its press release that they will be released on September 17.
