The quartet was taken into custody, a companion who was supposed to have filmed everything remained free until the trial for aggravated robbery at the Steyr regional court. Because one of the boys had turned 18 two days before the attack, he was threatened with up to 15 years in prison instead of 7.5 years – he was no longer considered a teenager, but a young adult. An accomplice, who turned 18 in custody, appeared before the judge as a teenager with half the maximum sentence.
