A former TF1 boss, who died at the age of 75, was paid tribute to the channel’s personalities, who were deeply saddened by his passing.

The emotion was palpable this Wednesday, July 17, 2024, on the television news of TF1The channel has lost an important figure in its history: its former boss. Nonce Paolinidied at the age of 75 today. Last Sunday, it was actress Shannen Doherty who passed away from cancer at just 53 years old. Her former cast mates Charmed and even Beverly Hills paid him a vibrant tribute, just as Thomas Dutronc did for his mother Françoise Hardy.

TF1 journalists and presenters did the same for the former CEO, who officiated from 2007 to 2016. He made his mark with the launch of programs such as The Voice and Dancing with the Stars, as well as the transition to free-to-air broadcasting of LCI. On X, the group published a message of recognition: “It is with deep emotion that we learned of the death of Nonce Paolini. Now on CNews, Laurence Ferrari remembers their collaboration at TF1 and published a tribute on the same social network: “Nonce Paolini was a lord in this profession. He was a huge boss of TF1 and a dear friend who accompanied me in the tough years of the 8pm news. Always by my side, always smiling even in the fight. I think of Catherine and her daughters. My pain is immense tonight. Rest in peace my Nonce ”.

A vibrant tribute to Nonce Paolini

Christophe Beaugrand-Gerin also paid a vibrant tribute to the CEO: “Tonight I am sad. Nonce Paolini, head of TF1 until 2016, has left. He is one of those who gave me my chance. He was a good, upright man with values. Committed, he signed the LGBT charter of Autre Cercle and asked me to be its ambassador. I had the chance and the honor to work with him. I am thinking a lot about his wife Catherine and his daughters. You can be proud of your dad”.
