Many projects have been abandoned lately on the side of Electronic Arts, especially on mobile. Apex Legends Mobile will soon close its servers after less than a year of existence, while Battlefield Mobile will never see the light of day. While it was announced in May 2022, Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth, another game coming to phones has been confirmed.
At the company’s latest earnings call, which saw FIFA 23 outsell even more than usual, COO Laura Miele said that the development was still relevant and that the teams were on track to be able to release it during this year 2023, without further details on the launch window. Remember that the Capital Games teams are at the head of the project.
Unfortunately, we have not had more information about this game, which will be an RPG requiring a multitude of objects to be collected. With a narrative part, we will also have the right to turn-based combat with, of course, the presence of many characters from the saga. Everything will be available free-to-play. We should know more over the next few weeks, especially with the first images, since we don’t have any trailers at the moment.
