Lord of the Rings on Amazon: Episode 1 & 2 now online

Only two episodes are currently online. Unlike many series, there is not the whole season in one go, but you have to be patient as before until the next episode is put online. There will be a double episode at the start, but in the coming weeks only one episode will be posted online on Fridays.

  • “The Rings of Power” is included in the Prime subscription.
  • If you haven’t used the service yet, can test it for free.
  • Amazon Prime costs currently still 7.99 euros. If you book from September 15th you pay 8.99 euros per month.
  • If you book Prime for a whole year, you pay currently 69.90 euros and from mid-September 89.90 euros in one fell swoop.
  • The first season settles down from 8 episodes together.

The Lord of the Rings series was announced back in 2017. It is based on the books by JRR Tolkien. Peter Jackson, who directed the films in the 2000s, is not involved in The Rings of Power. It should not be a remake of the films. Instead, the series shows the prehistory from the Lord of the Rings universe. With Sauron, Isildur and Galadriel there should be a reunion with some well-known characters.
