Lords of the Fallen gets a sequel in 2026

In 2023, Lords of the Fallen offered a reboot which was a great success, which gave CI Games the idea to offer it a sequel in 2026. This will obviously be present on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series. And as for the 2023 title, exclusively on the Epic Games Store. In any case, this is what CI Games announces in its file discussing its new contract with Epic.

Although not mentioned, the reasons behind this choice are likely financial. Thus, at the risk of reaching fewer players by locking itself into the Epic store at least temporarily, the studio secures funds to develop its game. However, CI Games specifies that this contract in no way affects the Xbox Series and PS5 versions. These will be distributed directly by the studio throughout the world.

“The rights to the game and the series, including all intellectual property rights (IP), as well as the rights to publish and distribute the game worldwide on all other platforms, including PlayStation 5 platforms and Xbox Series X|S for which the game is currently in development, will remain the property of the company. »

Note that if the sequence of Lords of the Fallen is currently scheduled for 2026, the box’s schedule may be subject to change. The last few years have clearly shown us that the postponement of a game is becoming more and more frequent. For such a distant date, it cannot therefore be ruled out that the current forecasts will not be held. Especially if it allows the studio to develop new ideas. Either way, there’s a good chance we’ll see the first images of the game at Summer Game Fest or Game Awards 2025.
