May 18 (Reuters) – L’Oréal OREP.PA is finalizing the acquisition of Byredo perfumes from British investment fund Manzanita Capital, Le Figaro reported on Wednesday https://www.lefigaro.fr/societes/l-oreal-s -prepared-to-buy-back-parfums-byredo-202205,
without indicating its sources, specifying that the transaction would be carried out on the basis of a valuation of one billion euros.
No comment was made by the French cosmetics group to the newspaper.
If the operation is finalized, it will be the first acquisition made by Nicolas Hieronimus, appointed last year to the general management of L’Oréal, notes Le Figaro.
The annual turnover of Byredo, founded in Stockholm in 206, is estimated at 180 million euros.
