“Loss of trust” – Schwarzach: That’s why the clinic boss had to go

The Schwarzach Hospital has parted ways with its managing director. The clinic speaks of a “loss of trust” and “profound differences of opinion”.

Cornelia Lindner did not manage the Schwarzach hospital for a long time. Only hired in mid-2020, she now had to vacate her job again. The hospital spokesman announced this to the public on Tuesday. Lately there must have been a real crisis in the management of the hospital. Ms. Lindner has “lost the trust of external stakeholders”. In addition, there were “profound differences of opinion about the management of the clinic” between her, the shareholder and the supervisory board, according to the hospital spokesman. Lindner already had her last day at workLindner’s contract runs until the end of March 2023 – but she still had her last day at work on Tuesday. On the same day, the clinic also informed the state, the mayors and the resident doctors about Cornelia Lindner’s termination. The responsible state councilor Christian Stöckl supports the decision of the hospital. “I can support the decision very well. It was a very tense atmosphere, both internally and externally, and that has to change as soon as possible,” says Stöckl. Lindner’s successor should now ensure the change – a familiar face. The new medical director, Eugen Adelsmayr, will take over Lindner’s agenda with immediate effect – and keep it, his appointment is unlimited. “Dr. Adelsmayr will have his hands full in the coming days, taking on the additional responsibility and making current operational decisions,” says the clinic spokesman. The medical director only had to go in 2021 surprising personnel decisions in the public eye. There was a lot of excitement last year when the hospital fired the medical director at the time, Andreas Valentin. Here, too, the clinic management cited “gross differences of opinion” as the reason for the termination. The outcry that followed from hospital staff and politicians was great.
