A real problem for days on Lost Ark, and has been since the launch of Early Access, the overcrowding of most servers has frustrated many players. The developers have announced that they are doing everything possible to extend the capacities of these as quickly as possible, but also to deploy new servers.
It’s in a statement published on Saturday February 12 that Roxx, Community Manager of Amazon Games, announced the forthcoming implementation of measures aimed at strengthening the capacities of Lost Ark’s game servers. After having implemented a ban for new players to create characters on certain already overpopulated kingdoms, the Western publisher expresses this time its desire to improve this unpleasant situation preventing certain players from accessing the servers where their friends are. .
The aforementioned restrictions have therefore been removed, however they could reappear in the very near future if the queues get out of hand again, and this is the case at the time of this writing. As an example, here is the status of the servers in Central Europe on Saturday February 12, 2022 in the middle of the evening (around 9:30 p.m. Paris time):
Once in play, it is perfectly playable and does not suffer from very little unbearable latency. However, you will need to be patient to access the game servers since the queues represent in some cases several hours of waiting… Or you will have to connect before peak hours, namely:
- Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
- Between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m.
Easier said than done, and deploying a few new servers is unlikely to completely solve this problem. Unfortunately, this is one of the obvious flaws of a “hype” such as that seen in recent days, and Amazon Games does not seem to have learned enough lessons from the problems encountered when NeW World was released in the middle of last year.
