Lost Ark: the 2023 roadmap unveiled and detailed

The December update titled “Rave the Halls” recently brought tons of new content to Archesia, such as the Advanced Summoner Class, Brelshaza Legion Raid (normal), and new festive events. But we know gamers are eager to find out what’s to come in early 2023. The content and updates featured below are just a few of the main items gamers are looking forward to. This is not an exhaustive list of all the changes coming to Archesia over the next few months. January

THE WITCHER EVENT

The festivities of a beautiful island have been interrupted by a disturbing whirlwind. Unravel these mysteries to meet iconic characters from The Witcher on an all-new island and through all-new event quests! New Witcher-themed cosmetic items will be available in the store, and new scars to customize your characters, maps, fortress structures, emojis and more await adventurers who participate in the event.

GENERAL IMPROVEMENTS

The Lost Ark x The Witcher event will be accompanied by an update focusing on general improvements, including those related to guild systems, PvP (guilds), Una tasks, among others .

FEBRUARY

ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

In February, it will be one year since Lost Ark was released in the West! To celebrate, we are planning a few special events.

ROWEN MAINLAND

The Rowen is a continent located east of the Silensierra. Sylmael is found there in large quantities. These purple gems are a valuable resource in Archesia. Following the disappearance of an ancient civilization, the Rowen has sunk into oblivion in Archesia. But when rumors spread of purple gems to be found in abundance there, many factions joined forces to travel there.

Your character will need to be at item level 1445 to start the Rowen World Quest. Particular tensions persist between the factions and barbarian nomads attack those who dare to tread their lands. On this torn territory, who will reach his goal, and who will lose his skin there? What does the future of Rowen look like? Upon completion of the Rowen’s World Quests, a faction can be assigned to participate in open-world PvP. The neutral territory of Eliyabeck has lost its balance and is now torn between two opposing factions: the Preigelli and the Liebertane.

• The Preigellis are united by the belief that indulgence is the source of chaos in the Rowen, and strict rules would be needed in these lands. They are made up of mechanically gifted mercenaries. “Order prevails over chaos, invariably. »
• The Libertanes have coalesced around the belief that too many strict rules and limits are the source of chaos in the Rowen. This group of pirates and mages advocates freedom and passion. “Our rule is simple. Take all you can. »

You must choose your side in the war for the Rowen. Once your faction is chosen, you will enter a PvP mode against the opposing faction. There are 15 faction tiers. To progress, participate in activities that will earn you faction EXP, such as killing members of the enemy faction or taking part in co-op quests that occur daily or weekly. The war between the Preigellis and the Liebertanes will begin in February, but the competition will intensify in March, at the exit from the battlefield of Tulubik.

MARCH

TULUBIK BATTLEFIELD

A new type of PvP activity is coming: the 96-player (48 vs. 48) RvR of Tulubik Battleground. With bases to take, special side objectives, and dozens of other players to battle, the Battle of Tulubik has no shortage of action. The matches will take place at times known in advance. There are two types.

• Classic match: 48 participants in each camp.
• Friendly match: takes place when more than 40 people are waiting after the opening hours of a regular match.

To participate in the Battle of Tulubik, one must have reached Faction Rank 5 and Item Level 1490. Everyone who answers their faction’s call can earn Faction EXP.

GENERAL UPDATES

March will also mark the next big general update which will include balance changes, new events and the third Ark Pass! We’ll tell you more as we get closer to the release of this version, so stay tuned.

APRIL

ADVANCED CLASS OF THE ARTIST

The artist is endowed with great versatility thanks to the powers of illusion that she draws from her brush. She specializes in supporting her team. Using his magic brush and fluid paint, the artist can choose to attack enemies directly, or paint sacred beasts to summon them. Despite her rather weak attack power, she is an asset to any team, as she is able to provide solid support to her allies and rescue them with her gift for illusion. The artist’s class identity is Moonset and Sunrise. She can fill up the Harmony Gauge by using her skills on enemies. Once the gauge is full, she can create up to three Harmony Orbs. These allow you to cast Moonset and Sunrise. Moonset immediately empowers various party members with the power of the plot, and Sunrise creates a sun ball with the power of paint to restore the party member’s HP. The artist is the first representative of a whole class, the specialists, whom you will see again in 2023.

We are aware of the discussion in the Lost Ark community about the carryover of the artist class to the western version of the game, and we want to be transparent with people who are eagerly awaiting its arrival. We previously said that some content from the original game could be adapted for Western audiences. While our goal is to preserve the authenticity of the original game, we are also working with Smilegate RPG on localization changes to make the game more accessible and representative for our Western players. The artist class will be identical in gameplay, but their appearances will be changed to better match western standards. For example, we will add shorts or tights under the skirts (sometimes short) of certain skins, or adjust the length of certain clothes. We will strive to maintain the original spirit of the skins despite these changes and offer players a variety of customization options for this very versatile class.

BRELSHAZA ON HARD MODE

The Spectral Legion Commander will return in a more challenging version of the eight-player Legion Raid. Who says more difficult, says more rewarding, and you can win new equipment and accessories of the “old” type. Brelshaza hard mode will require an item level of 1540 for portals 1 and 2, 1550 for portals 3 and 4, and 1560 for portals 5 and 6.

GUARDIAN RAID: HANUMATAN

The solar guardian Hanumatan is sacred, in Anich. The Anichaean martialists reproduced the movements of Hanumatan to make it a martial art. A mighty force of destruction in the Great War that took place 500 years ago, Hanumatan, sensing the impending chaos in Archesia, arose from his long slumber. Having observed the world with his detached gaze, he came to the conclusion that humans were the enemy that endangered Archesia. Hanumatan must be stopped before his cold, implacable anger destroys all life in Archesia. To take on Hanumatan in this Guardian Raid, you’ll need to be at item level 1540. Similar to Hard Mode Brelshaza, victorious parties will be able to earn Ancient Accessories.
