Among them, the cult series Lost And How I Met Your Motherso far only available on Disney+.

In France also ?

This agreement concluded in the United States guarantees non-exclusive distribution for 18 months to Netflix. All these series will therefore remain available on Disney+. The availability dates (American) of these series on Netflix are as follows:

  • Favorite years – seasons 1 to 6 – January 1, 2024
  • This Is Us – seasons 1 to 6 – January 8, 2024

Archer is for example already available on Netflix in our regions, while This Is Us is broadcast by Prime Video. Others, such as Dad tinkering Or Bernie Mac, are currently not even visible on SVOD in France. Which suggests that broadcasting rights will undoubtedly be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

In any case, the “Losties” can be delighted to see their cult series soon join the catalog of the red N service. Broadcast from 2004, JJ Abrams’ series was a real phenomenon at the time, thanks to its ambitious production, its varied casting and its captivating mythology.

These series trips from platform to platform will become more and more frequent. After a (short) period where exclusivity was king, streaming services are realizing that they make more money by renting their programs to others than by letting them gather dust in their catalog.
