Lot-et-Garonne: a man flashed at 196 km / h then tested positive for cocaine and cannabis


The gendarmes of the motorized platoon of Agen reported a significant speeding violation last Friday on the A62. The vehicle was flashed at 196 km / h instead of 130.

This motorist also positive for cannabis and cocaine, said the military in a publication posted on the Facebook account of the Lot et Garonne gendarmerie.

During their service to “secure departures on vacation”, the gendarmes noted “19 significant speeding”.

Besides the 196 km / h driver, they reported three other notable infractions. A novice motorist who was traveling at 170 km / h instead of 110, another new driver at 179 km / h, and a repeat offender who was traveling at 165 km / h on a portion limited to 130.

“All these (young) drivers saw their license withdrawn on the spot,” said the gendarmes. The soldiers added that all these offenders “will have to answer for their act in front of the justice”.
