Loto: a Nantes resident does not claim his win and loses 6 million euros

The missed opportunity to get rich. A Loto winner did not come forward to the Française des Jeux (FDJ), and lost six million euros.

The person had won the jackpot on February 12. She had played the winning combination: 45, 22, 28, 40, 37, and the lucky number 10, reports Ticket winner.

Originally from Loire-Atlantique, she had to share the jackpot of 12 million euros with another winner, from Dordogne. She had 60 days to claim it, under FDJ rules.

Despite numerous wanted notices and advertisements in the local press, the winner did not appear. Its six million euros therefore belong again to the FDJ. They will be put back into play soon.

Not claiming your prize is an extremely rare event. In 2011, a player had lost 8 million euros in this way, in Haute-Loire.
