lots of free content to enhance the game

Despite its many qualities, Starfield can be further improved, and it is with this in mind that brand new free content further refines the space RPG recipe.

Starfield is already an impressive game in its own right, but some players are looking to make it even better by adding entirely new content. The goal is to make it even more gigantic. We have already seen all kinds of additions, but the latest one particularly stands out by enriching the background and deepening everything concerning the game universe.

Starfield, very welcome new content

The Grindterra Industries mod, developed by modders ItsmePaulieB and Boris4774, introduces a new faction into Starfield, equipped with an operational crime system as well as a range of specific clothing that players can acquire. This new faction, Grindterra, is presented as a corporate organization secretly funded by the UC with the aim of rivaling Ryujin Industries. As a private sector entity, Grindterra has the ability to expand into Freestar space, recruiting former UC government and military officials to aggressively eliminate competition. Officially, Grindterra positions itself as a company dedicated to terraforming the universe according to its vision. However, behind the scenes, it is working to expand its private military force on as many planets as possible, aspiring to become the dominant corporation in the Starfield universe. An entire program.

Initially, the GrindTerra faction is neutral towards players, but it can become hostile if they decide to join the competing Ryujin Industries faction. The creators of the mod specify: “GrindTerra Industries logs your criminal activities and will award faction-specific bounties. You might even find yourself arrested and transferred to one of the two UC prisons.” They also add that in the case of future updates involving faction allegiances, GrindTerra will side with the UC and not the Freestar community. This Starfield mod does not influence the bounty or relationships with the ‘UC. Available criminal activities currently include pickpocketing, murder, and trespassing. The mod can be found here.

In the footsteps of Skyrim

Starfield continues to captivate its community with a striking diversity of mods, recalling the enthusiasm once generated by Skyrim, Bethesda’s other game, which no longer needs introduction. The overflowing imagination of the modding community was particularly evident through a singular mod, to say the least, introduced a few months ago. The latter surprisingly merged the universe of Star Wars with that of Thomas the Engine, thus transforming the game’s spaceships into characters from the well-known cartoon in an original way.

This trend of innovation on the part of players is encouraged by the constant support of developers. Starfield, with the upcoming addition of mods allowing mechas to be piloted, promises to maintain its appeal in the long term. Players, just as they have done for other games, seem determined to enrich and diversify the gaming experience. And that is rather good news.
