Zelda Tears of the Kingdom was a real tidal wave when it was released. The Nintendo Switch exclusive broke all records with some 10 million sales worldwide in the space of three short days. A historic start which betrayed a real enthusiasm for the game, a real critical and commercial success. While the game recently celebrated its first birthday, Nintendo continues to offer great gifts… provided you are a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber.
Return of the Zelda Tears of the Kingdom avatars
There are still many players exploring the new landscapes of Hyrule in Zelda TOTK. Uh year later, the phenomenon has certainly faded, and we will not have to count on a possible DLC to restart the machine. The father of the license has been category: the teams are already looking towards the future. An upcoming major episode which could finally let players control Zelda in a main opus if we trust the latest rumors. We will have to be patient before Nintendo reveals its plans for the sequel, but Big N still wanted to spoil players to celebrate the first anniversary of Zelda Tears of The Kingdom. In addition to magnificent wallpapers to collect for your smartphone, Big N is launching a big catch-up session for those who missed out on the game’s avatars.
This week, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can go find all the icons of the game. We find them in the image of Link, Sidon, Ganondorf, Riju, Babil, the princess and even the Master Sword. As usual, a handful of frames and backgrounds can be collected for a few platinum points. Count 10 for each character and the frames, and 5 only for the backgrounds. These Nintendo Switch Online avatars from The Legend of Zelda TOTK will be available from May 20 to 27, 2024.
As part of the first anniversary, Nintendo also unveiled a fantastic collector’s item for the game’s soundtrack and a very beautiful artbook. Pre-orders are not yet open in France, only Fnac had some stock which quickly ran out.
