Lots of smoke, little noise – Electrikhana: Ken Block drifting through Las Vegas

Ken Block is probably the most famous drifter in the world, his Gymkhana videos are legendary. Now he has released his latest project: Electrikhana! In this video, he makes the gambling paradise of Las Vegas unsafe while drifting. The slot machine he uses to do this is a one-off: the Audi S1 Hoonitron, an ultra-powerful two-engine electric Audi with four-wheel drive.

The “bandit’s” arm is stuck in the middle of the car and rests in Block’s hand – it’s the handbrake that helps him perform the tricks that excite fans. The Bandit itself is a purely electric prototype that was developed and built in coordination with Ken Block at Audi Sport in Neckarsulm and whose design was based on the Audi Sport quattro S1, which once stormed the famous Pikes Peak. The Audi S1 Hoonitron has a Chassis made of carbon fiber and meets the safety standards of the top motorsport authority, the FIA. A drift along the famous Eiffel Tower, a spectacular jump from the parking deck of the neighboring hotel or donuts on the legendary Strip: Ken Block, the Audi S1 Hoonitron and other models from the treasure trove of Audi tradition drew a lot of attention during the late night shooting in Las Vegas. The US star electrified the gamer’s paradise in the Nevada desert for several days. In addition to the S1 Hoonitron, other models of the Audi tradition also have small guest appearances in the Electrikhana film. For example, the Audi 90 IMSA GTO (1989), the Audi 200 Trans Am (1988), the Audi Sport quattro S1 Pikes Peak (1987), the Audi quattro Group B A2 (1984) as well as the Audi R8 LMP and the Audi can be seen R18 e-tron quattro from Le Mans.
